Sandhya is a Senior Climate Change Specialist at the World Bank’s Climate Finance and Economics team. Her work focuses on the development of new products and concepts to mobilize financing for implementing and scaling up climate change solutions. She leads programs that build country capacity to access carbon markets, and develops technical work exploring innovative approaches for the use of carbon and climate finance. She has worked on programs related to energy efficiency and renewable energy expansion across South Asia and Southern Africa. Prior to joining the World Bank, she worked at Climate Policy Initiative to establish the India window of the Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance. Sandhya has a master's degree in economics from the Delhi School of Economics, and a bachelor's in business studies, specializing in finance, from the University of Delhi.
