Sandrine Boukerche joined the Bank in 2009 and has worked on a series of climate programs, including finance and investment, carbon operations, trust fund management, knowledge products, and the corporate strategy on climate change.
Sandrine is passionate about the role of urban development in climate resilience and mitigation. In the World Bank's Urban, Resilience and Land Urban Global Department, she acts as the front office focal point on climate co-benefits and is a core member of the City Climate Finance Gap Fund World Bank Secretariat. She also provides operational support to urban, resilience and land projects to incorporate low-carbon and climate-resilient concerns.
A French and U.S. national, she holds a master's in International Relations and Economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), a diploma of economics from LSE, and a bachelor's degree in Contemporary European Studies from the University of Sussex. In her spare time, she loves architecture, painting, and rock climbing.
