Santadas Ghosh is an Associate Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics and Politics at Visva-Bharati (a Central University in India). He is also a Fellow at the South Asian Network for Development and Environmental Economics (SANDEE, ICIMOD, Nepal) and Senior Fellow at the Asian Centre for Development (ACD, Bangladesh). He has conducted extensive primary survey-based studies for more than 15 years in the Sundarban region in India, which is a biodiversity hotspot and a World Heritage Site. He has published widely on the region’s economic and environmental issues in journals and edited volumes.
