Dr. Sapna Nair is a public health professional with 13 years experience as a doctor and manager and technical specialist. She has worked in conceptualising, designing, researching and providing technical support in public health projects. Has worked in People for Health project, funded by the European Union, aimed at improving the human resource for health (HRH) in India, UNDP funded projects aimed at providing social protection to Most At risk populations to HIV (MARP) and Persons living with HIV (PLHIV) in six states in India, and UNICEF projects on developing methodologies in Estimation of population Vulnerable to HIV. Currently works as co-researcher in STRIVE, leading qualitative studies which seek to understand structural barriers and underlying determinants that drive the HIV epidemic and evaluate interventions that address these drivers. She has a leadership role in this and other research projects of KHPT. Her work involves designing, implementing, analysing and publishing research. She has a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) in social epidemiology from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai.
