Sara T. Thompson is a wildlife crime specialist where she primarily researches environmental and natural resources law enforcement issues and works on projects related to environmental crime and the trafficking of wildlife. Prior to joining the Bank, Sara worked in Burkina Faso, West Africa as a Peace Corps Volunteer, managing several educational and agricultural projects. Additionally, she has worked in the criminal justice and legal sector in several different capacities. Sara holds an MA in criminal justice and criminology from Rutger’s University of Newark and holds a BA in French and criminal justice. When she’s not climbing mountains or running marathons, she’s taking pictures of fungi and bees.
