Sarang Chaudhary is a social protection economist in the World Bank’s Social Protection and Jobs Global Practice. His work at the World Bank focuses on designing and supporting the implementation of national social assistance, economic inclusion, and cash plus programs. Sarang also co-leads an Impact Collaborative aimed at building evidence and enhancing the effectiveness of the next generation of government-led economic inclusion programs at scale. Previously, he led a nonprofit in India, working on community-driven development and grassroots program implementation in collaboration with state and city governments. Sarang holds a bachelor’s degree in electronics and communication engineering from Uttar Pradesh Technical University in India and a master’s degree in public policy from the University of California, Berkeley.
