Sardar Azari is a Senior Information Officer and technical lead for advanced analytics and data science program in the Information Technology Services (Cloud Team). He received his Ph.D. in Electronics and Computer Science from Azerbaijan State Petroleum Academy in 2004 after which we continued his post-doctoral research at George Washington University’s HPC Laboratory. He joined the World Bank Group at 1999. Sardar’s academic interests and his research focuses on the areas of Measurement and Instrumentation, High Performance Compute Clusters (HPC) and green computing. More recently, he has been involved in the Bank's efforts in developing software tools and methods for applied economic analysis.
