Sarouen Bou is the Communications Officer for the World Bank’s Cambodia Office.
Mr. Bou, a Cambodia national, first joined the World Bank in 2002 as a Communications Associate for Cambodia.
His current responsibilities include developing and implementing the World Bank country communications strategy and contributing to the World Bank’s East Asia regional communication strategy. Mr. Bou also provides Cambodia-related country political updates and political economic counsel to the Bank management and provides communications support for World Bank supported projects. In addition, he is in charge of providing external and internal enquiry regarding the World Bank support in Cambodia.
Previously, he was a journalist for the Phnom Penh Post where he worked on assignments related to security, armed conflict, human rights, the environment, agriculture, fisheries and forestry, health, education, child labor, and culture issues.
Mr. Bou is completing his Master’s Degree in Political Science (Peace and Conflict Development Studies) at the Paññãsãstra University of Cambodia. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English.
