Scherezad Joya Monami Latif is a Lead Education Specialist in the World Bank Group’s Education Global Practice, where she works on operations and research activities across countries in East and Central Africa. She has worked in diverse contexts particularly those that are Fragile Conflict and Violence (FCV), including Afghanistan, Pakistan, Moldova, Ukraine, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Guinea and currently, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). She has led large World Bank operations, many of them results based including the largest education Project for the Bank in the DRC. Scherezad holds a Ph.D. in Education from Columbia University and a Masters in education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
