Sérgio Silva works in WFP’s Strategic Partnerships Division, supporting collaboration with IFIs and Governments on food systems, supply chain, and infrastructure. Prior to this, he served as Chief of Supply Chain Strategic Planning and Optimization, providing support to complex humanitarian and development operations. Over more than a decade with WFP, he has held various roles across supply chain strategy, planning, and operations. Sérgio began his career in logistics in the private sector and is the founder of the NGO GASPorto. He has served as an advisor to the Council of the University of Porto and was part of the WFP team recognized with the Franz Edelman Award for excellence in operations research and the Supply Chain Excellence Award by the Supply Chain Council.
