Shalini Roy Ph.D. is a Research Fellow in the Poverty, Health, and Nutrition Division at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI). An economist by training, she has extensive experience conducting impact evaluations of programs and policies related to social protection, gender, nutrition, and early childhood. Much of her work focuses on the impacts of social transfer programs, spanning South Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Her regional expertise is in Bangladesh. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
