Shane Streifel is a consultant in the Development Prospects Group working on commodity markets and price forecasts. He helps produce the quarterly Commodity Markets Outlook, and authors sections on energy, metals, precious metals and fertilizers. Previously he was Visiting Scholar at the International Monetary Fund and long-time Senior Economist at the World Bank analyzing commodity markets. Prior to that he worked at the International Energy Agency in Paris, and Alberta Energy Company and Canadian Energy Research Institute in Calgary, Canada.
