Sharon Kanthy Lumbanraja is a Research and Policy consultant with the World Bank Indonesia. She provides analytical support, including in developing the Student Learning Assessment instrument for KIAT Guru, a pilot project which combines social accountability – which empower communities in remote villages to hold teachers accountable – with performance-based pay – which conditioned teacher allowance to results of community verification and evaluation. Previously, she was a Research and Knowledge Management Analyst with the National Team for Acceleration of Poverty Reduction (TNP2K), a think tank under the Office of the Vice President of Indonesia. She holds a Master of Administrative and Policy Studies in Education from University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Psychology from State University of New York at Binghamton.
