Shashank Jayakumar is an Independent Technology Consultant with the World Bank Group. He is currently working on a project to support an Open Data Initiative for building resilience to climate and disasters in the State of Kerala. He has been associated with the Resilient Kerala program at the Department of Agriculture and IT over the past 4 years. He is also part of the Sikkim INSPIRES program (Integrated Service Provision and Innovation for Reviving Economies) where his responsibilities include undertaking a compilation and analysis of the existing GoS (and relevant GoI) Technology landscape and policies. Under the World Bank, he has been a consultant on the Unified Public Consultation Portal project for the governments of Jordan, Zambia, Malaysia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Shashank is also the co-founder of Yotaka Solutions, a company that builds software products using AI and Computer Vision based technologies. He works extensively with the subnational Indian governments of Gujarat and Maharashtra under the Smart City initiative.
He is a graduate of the Global Entrepreneurship program at Purdue University's Krannert Business School, in consortium with Em-Lyon, France, and Zhejiang University, in Hangzhou, China. Shashank also holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from St. Xavier's College in Mumbai, India.
