Shelley Mc Millan is a senior water resources management specialist in the Sustainable Development division of the World Bank Group. She is currently based in the World Bank Bangkok office and she is the cluster leader for the water portfolio in Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand and the focal point for the Mekong River Basin. Shelley is an engineer by training and also has a Master of Science degree in Environmental Policy and Management and a PhD in Water Resources Management. Prior to joining the World Bank, she worked in the private sector, including on oil and gas in Trinidad and Tobago. Her water sector expertise includes transboundary water resources management and the development of bulk water infrastructure for irrigation, water supply and wastewater treatment. She also works on other areas of the water sector including institutional strengthening and hydro-informatics.
