Dr Shin Lee is a senior faculty member at Cardiff University, UK, where she has been teaching and researching for the past 13 years.
As Course Director for MSc in Transport and Planning, she leads the transport team in the Cardiff School of Planning and Geography. She is Editor of International Planning Studies and has authored a range of scholarly papers on urban and transport issues for leading academic journals.
She grew up in South Korea and received her specialist training in urban planning and transport from the University of Southern California. While in California, she worked as a research associate at the Lusk Center for Urban and Regional Development for over 7 years and taught for a year at California State University, Northridge before moving to the UK.
At the World Bank's ICT Sector Unit, she is working on Big Data-Analytics and smart city approaches to explore the use of innovative technologies in transport planning.
