Shurufa Abdul Wahidh is currently working as a Debt Management Executive in the Ministry of Finance, Maldives. She is heading the Middle Office of the Maldives DMO and is in charge of setting the debt strategy, preparing guidelines and policies on debt management activities, as well as risk management in government direct borrowing and contingent liabilities.
At the time of writing the paper, she was stationed on a six-month Voice Secondment Program at the World Bank Headquarters, where her duties were based within the Macroeconomics, Trade and Investment (MTI) Global Practice, working with the Debt Management Facility team.
