Si Gou is a Water Resource Managemant Specialist at the Water Global Practice in the East Asia and Pacific Region. In this role she has worked on several analytical and lending operations in the areas of river basin management, irrigation modernization and water consumption management (i.e., ET management), flood management, dam safety, groundwater management, and rural water supply and sanitation in China, Philippines, Vietnam, and India. Si joined the World Bank in 2018 as a Young Professional of the Water GP. She holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University, an M.Sc. in Hydrology and Water Resources from China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research, and a B.Sc. in Irrigation and Drainage Engineering from China Agricultural University.
