Sierd is an expert on public finance management and is an economist with a postgraduate degree in governance and development from the Institute of Development Studies. Before joining the Overseas Development Institute, he worked for community-based organisations in Zambia on HIV/AIDS and microfinance and for Action Against Hunger on food security and malnutrition.
