Silvana Tordo is a Lead Energy Economist at the World Bank’s Energy and Extractives Global Practice where she leads the Extractives-led Local Economic Development (ELLED) program. Other areas of focus include extractive sector legal and contractual frameworks, taxation, local content policies, sovereign wealth funds, and strategic investment funds. Silvana’s publications cover a wide range of topics, including value creation by national oil companies, auction design in oil and gas, extractives-led productive policies, petroleum taxation, resource revenue frameworks, and sovereign and strategic investment. Prior to joining the World Bank in 2003 Silvana held various senior management positions in new ventures, negotiations, legal affairs, and corporate finance.
