Mr. Sione V. Hufanga is currently the UN Country Coordination Specialist based in Tonga. His career started at the Government of Tonga as a Health Statistician and then concluded after 15 years as one of the six Top Executive Staff of the Ministry of Health, who managed, Health Planning, Health Research, Medical and Information, Communication and Technology services of the Ministry. Following his career at the Ministry of Health, he worked as a World Bank consultant for 3 years to support the World Bank’s analytics and advisory services to improve the design and implementation of taxation policy and multisectoral actions to address the non-communicable disease burden.
