Sırma Demir Şeker is a Senior Economist for the World Bank Social Protection and Jobs Global Practice. Prior to joining the Bank, she worked at the Ministry of Development of the Republic of Turkey.
Sirma holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Economics from the Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey. Her main areas of interest include labor economics, social protection, income distribution and poverty.
