Sitaramachandra Machiraju is a Senior Agriculture Economist in the East Asia and Pacific Region of the World Bank. He leads a portfolio of lending projects and analytical works in Mongolia and the South East Asia focusing on sustainable food systems, one health and food safety, climate-smart agriculture, and private capital mobilization for greening agriculture transformation. He has worked on several country programs such as Afghanistan, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Mongolia, Nepal, Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam. Sitaramachandra is an Indian national and is a Master of Business Administration from Said Business School, Oxford University, UK, and a Master’s in Management Studies from Banaras Hindu University, India.
