Snjezana Plevko is a senior economist in the World Bank’s Social Protection and Jobs Global Practice. Her analytical and operational work focuses on adaptive social protection and youth employment. She currently acts as a Program Manager for the Sahel Adaptive Social Protection Program and co-leads the Bank’s social protection program in Niger. Before joining the Africa region, Snjez worked on a broad range of social protection issues in Latin America and the Caribbean, and Europe and Central Asia. In LAC, Snjez was acting Program Leader for human development in the Caribbean, led the Bank’s social protection program in Panama, Haiti and a number of small Caribbean island countries, and co-led regional work on ASP. In ECA HD, she worked as SP Program Coordinator in the Balkans and a team leader for SP projects in countries across South-East Europe and Central Asia. She also led RASs in Kazakhstan and Egypt and participated in number of programmatic lending programs. Before joining the World Bank, Snjez worked as an Assistant Minister for Pension System in Croatia and a Deputy Director in the Agency for Supervision of Pension Funds and Insurance.
