Solene Rougeaux works for the Social Protection and Jobs Global Practice in Europe and Central Asia, after 10 years spent working in West Africa. She has worked primarily on social safety nets and employment programs. In addition to managing operations in Côte d’Ivoire, Benin, and Senegal, she led a range of analytical activities on the informal sector, adaptive social protection, childcare, the demographic dividend and public expenditure. Prior to joining the World Bank, Solene managed large development projects for different NGOs in north, west and central African countries. The projects she managed focused on primary health care, community development, and access to justice. Solene holds a Master of Business Administration from Warwick University and a Master of International Public Law from the London School of Economics.
