Solomon Owusu is an Assistant Professor of Global Economic Policy at Boston University's Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies. Prior to joining Boston University, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Oxford Martin Program on the Future of Development at the University of Oxford.

Solomon holds a PhD in Economics from Maastricht University/UNU-MERIT in the Netherlands. His research interests focus broadly on development economics, particularly in areas such as the economics and measurement of structural transformation, global value chains trade and industrial development in developing countries with a particular focus on countries in Africa.
