Sonia Jawaid Shaikh is a doctoral student at Annenberg School of Communication, University of Southern California. She is currently a COMPASS fellow at the World Bank. Her research interests are in the areas of decision making, information processing and research methods – particularly how ideas from communication, psychology and economics can intersect to produce change. She was a Fulbright student at Michigan State University where earned an MA in Communication. Prior to being a graduate student, she worked for an NPO in Pakistan that builds and operates schools in rural areas and urban slums.
