Sophie de Vries Robbé works as a consultant in the analytics team of the World Bank’s Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR). Her work focuses on assessing the impact of natural disasters on people and societies in general, and how they can become more resilient to these shocks. Sophie holds a MSc degree in International Economics and a BSc degree in Business Administration from the Erasmus University, and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands.
