Sophie Scharlin-Pettee is a Policy Officer at the Oxford Poverty & Human Development Initiative (University of Oxford). She holds a Master of Science in Sociology from the University of Oxford. She currently supports the outreach team in policy programming. She also coordinates the writing and publication of the annual global Multidimensional Poverty Index (global MPI) report, having previously worked on the Changes over Time project, which produced the first large-scale project on trends in multidimensional poverty. Earlier she contributed to the data preparation, computation, analysis, and report publication for the global MPI revision in 2018 and the annual global MPI release in 2019 and 2020.
