Sophie Theis is a research analyst at the International Food Policy Research Institute focusing on gender and rural development. Prior to joining IFPRI, she worked on agriculture and land governance in the Latin America & Caribbean Sustainable Development Department of the World Bank and on land use change policy in Brazil with the U.S. State Department.
