Souad Adnane has been a consultant at the World Bank, with the Women Business and the Law project, since 2017. She conducts research on laws and regulations related to Gender based violence, with a focus on the Middle East and North Africa. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Social Policy and Gender, at the George Washington University. Her research interests include topics related to economic development, gender and social policy. Prior to joining the Bank, she had worked with several international development organizations, focusing on women's economic participation and other development issues in the MENA region. Souad is also a founding member of the Arab Center for Scientific Research & Humane Studies, a classical liberal think tank based in Morocco and aimed at promoting values of democracy and freedom in the Arab world.
