Online Communications Associate, World Bank

Sri is a core member of the web and social media team within corporate communications at the World Bank. She plays a strong editorial, technical and quality assurance role in the day-to-day operations of the World Bank’s external corporate websites as a producer and editor. Prior to joining the corporate team, Sri worked for the Leadership, Learning, and Innovation vice presidency (VPU) at the World Bank as an online producer and editor, and helped oversee the VPU's social media channels.

Prior to joining the World Bank in 2013 and fresh from graduating with her Masters degree in 2012, Sri worked as a reporter for an online events company, WashingtonExec, that profiled the local executive business community in the DC metro area. She helped spearhead the launch of a series of feature stories that profiled families that worked together in the federal government. This helped to diversify the publication’s content by bringing personal and heartfelt stories to our world of government contracting. She was also the company's social media manager and editor, driving efforts to boost online presence, engagement, and traction.

From 2011 to 2012, Sri was earning her Masters (MA) in Journalism at the renowned S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in Syracuse, NY as part of an intensive one-year MA program. During her time there, she was able to delve into the field of online journalism and social media. Sri was a contributing writer for her university’s online publication, TheNewsHouse.com, and spent her spring semester interning in New York City with NBC Universal as an editorial intern.

From 2007 to 2011, Sri earned her Bachelors in Arts (BA) with a double major in Journalism and English Literature from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
