Sri Probo Sudarmo is an Urban Planner and Architect currently involved in World Bank projects on urban slums alleviation project and rural water supply and sanitation. After a period of lecturing and research at ITB, Bandung, during which he since was involved in housing relocation after the Talaga avalanche,(1977), he shortly joined the Integrated Urban Infrastructure Development Project for two years, then in 1993 helped start up the Community-based Housing initiative at the Ministry of Housing until the monetary crisis of 1998. After some years at USAID doing local governance and decentralization work and facilitating post-tsunami community land replotting in Aceh (2005), moved to the World Bank to continue with Aceh community-based housing reconstruction work (2006-2009) and other post-disaster responsibilities thereafter.
