Stephan is the Principal Economist for the Africa Region at IFC and manages the team of economists and strategists in the region. He has more than 25 years of experience in economic and private sector development work across various World Bank Group regions. Stephan holds a PhD in International Economics from the European Business School, an MBA from the Technical University Berlin, and a master's degree from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
