Stephanie Gil is a Practice Manager in the Europe and Central Asia Region (ECA) in the World Bank’s Energy and Extractives Global Practice. She leads the Bank's energy sector engagements, including regulatory reforms, clean energy transition, regional integration, new financing architecture, and other operations in the region. Previously, she led energy engagements at the Bank in Latin America and the Caribbean as well as in West and Central Africa and ECA, as Practice Manager and team leader, respectively. Before joining the Bank, Ms. Gil was a manager of commercial and corporate teams in the private sector (Electricite de France, UK).
A French national, Ms. Gil holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and London Business School, Master’s degrees in physics from Imperial College London and Ecole Nationale Superieure de Physique de Grenoble (INPG), and a physics postgrad from Universite Joseph Fourier de Grenoble.
