Stephanie E. Trapnell is a consultant with the Governance and Public Sector Group of the World Bank, where she is leading research on the measurement of transparency and accountability mechanisms, including financial disclosure, conflict of interest, and freedom of information. She is also focused on the design of actionable governance indicators, as part of an initiative to link measurement with reform action. She is a co-author of the publication Public Office, Private Interest: Accountability through Income and Asset Disclosure, and is a contributor to the accompanying volume of country illustrations. Ms. Trapnell is currently pursuing a PhD in Sociology at George Mason University and holds an MA from the Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies.
