Stephen Morris is an economist with expertise in econometrics, macroeconomics, and monetary economics. He is currently working as a Senior Economist at Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Boston since January 2022. Prior to that, he worked as an Economic Consultant at The World Bank in Washington, D.C. from January 2021 to December 2021.
Stephen has a strong academic background and has served as an Assistant Professor at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, ME in two separate periods: 2014 to 2019 and again in 2021. He also worked as a Senior Economist at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, D.C. from 2019 to 2020. Additionally, he gained experience as an Analyst at Lehman Brothers in New York City from 2007 to 2008.
Stephen holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, San Diego, which he completed in 2014. He obtained his B.A. with High Honors in Economics and Mathematics from Wesleyan University in 2007.
His research work has been published in journals such as the Journal of Housing Economics, Journal of Macroeconomics, Macroeconomic Dynamics, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, and Economics Letters. He has also presented his research at various conferences and seminars, including the World Congress of the Econometric Society and the AEA Annual Meetings.
