Stephen Stretton

Stephen is an ETC working on different projects in the MTI Fiscal Policy and Sustainable Growth unit, the EFI Chief Economist’s Climate Economics team, and CCG’s fund management unit. He has been a consultant for the bank since 2019, authoring papers on environmental tax reform and climate finance and forming part of the Financial Sector Mitigation Tool team. He developed a techno-economic power sector model as part of the Climate Policy Assessment Tool (CPAT) team while leading the mitigation stream. Previously, Stephen worked in financial risk modeling in banking and energy modeling in academia. He holds Master’s degrees in Economics and Physics and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, all from the University of Cambridge.
