Dr. Henshall, PhD MPH is currently the Chief Executive Officer of City Cancer Challenge: C/Can. Since joining UICC in 2017, she has overseen the strategic development and implementation of C/Can, and most recently the transition to a standalone Swiss foundation which now operates in 7 cities, in all regions.
Prior to joining UICC, Dr Henshall led a translational cancer research program at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research in Sydney, Australia for over a decade, focusing on the discovery of markers of cancer outcome and drug response.
Over the course of her career, she has held senior faculty appointments at the University of NSW in Australia and Georgetown University in the USA. She also played a key role in the funding and development of the Kinghorn Cancer Centre, a dedicated translational cancer research and clinical centre which opened in Sydney in 2012.
