Sumati Rajput is currently a Disaster Risk Management Policy Analyst for the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR), which is housed at the World Bank Group and supports mainstreaming of disaster risk management in developing country policies and investment programs. Sumati supports donor relations for the Facility, and also provides support to operations in the Caribbean and in Africa. Prior to this role, Sumati worked at AECOM, an urban development firm as an Economist, focusing in projects in South Asia and East Asia. An Indian national, Sumati holds degrees from Yale University, where she pursued a Masters in Development Economics, and Columbia University, where she completed her undergraduate studies.
