Sumit has been with WBG since 2013 in the tourism space. He brings over two decades of experience in the sector, with expertise encompassing various facets of tourism, including destination strategy, planning, management, marketing, branding, product development, and analytical research.
As a Senior International Tourism Consultant for the World Bank Group, Sumit has contributed to nature-based tourism lending operations supporting countries such as Cambodia, Laos, and Nepal. His role has involved project design, formulation, and implementation, including writing up Project Appraisal Documents (PADs) and coordinating with government counterparts for project negotiations and implementation support.
