Sunamika works as a Program Officer at Solutions for Youth Employment (S4YE), World Bank. She looks after the strategy & governance and manages different thematic verticals within the team including Digital Skills, Disruptive Technologies, Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities and Rural Youth. She has 15 years of experience in large-scale youth employment, skills development, education, and women’s economic empowerment programs focusing on fragile and conflict settings. Before joining S4YE, Sunamika worked as Development and Communications Manager for an education-focused non-profit in India. She was responsible for advocacy and building financial support through corporate and public sector funding. Before this, she worked for the Government of India’s National Rural Livelihoods Mission. She supported designing region wise strategies for skilling rural poor youth and linking with entry-level jobs in the private sector in urban centers. She has worked for UNDP, Johns Hopkins University, and different non-profits in the past. She holds a Master’s in Public Policy from Johns Hopkins University.
