Communications Specialist, World Bank

Sunny has worked as a communications specialist with the World Bank since 2012. Currently, she is a writer and editor for the Infrastructure Finance, PPPs & Guarantees group and provides communications support to the World Bank-led, Global Environment Facility (GEF)-financed Amazon Sustainable Landscapes Program (ASL), among other programs.

Prior to joining the Bank, Sunny worked as a journalist for several news outlets specializing in investigative reporting and special projects, including the Los Angeles Times. She served as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in Niger in a region with the last herd of giraffes in West Africa. Sunny has a Bachelor’s Degree in International Affairs from the University of Colorado, and a Master’s in Public Affairs Reporting from the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland.
