Susana Maria Mendes is a Social Development Consultant at the World Bank, supporting the implementation of the Environment and Social Framework (ESF) for projects in the Angola and São Tomé and Príncipe portfolios, since 2022. Her earlier work spans social impact assessments and socioeconomic surveys in rural and urban development programs in Angola, with emphasis on gender empowerment, health determinants, social and behavior change, capacity building, vulnerable populations' needs and inclusive approaches.
She graduated in Community Development and Mental Health in the Institute of Applied Psychology (ISPA), Lisbon.
