Svetlana Valieva is the Coordinator for Water in Agriculture Global Solutions Group at the World Bank's Water Global Practice. She is also a Research Fellow at the Center for Climate and Security, where she focuses on Central Asia and the Caucasus. She holds a master’s degree in International Relations and Economics from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a bachelor’s in Political Economy from the University of Washington. She speaks fluent Ossetian and Russian, in addition to intermediate French.
