Syed Estem Dadul Islam is Senior Results Measurement Specialist in the Trade & Competitiveness Global Practice of the World Bank Group (WBG), currently based in Nairobi, Kenya. He leads results-measurement functions of the Sub-Sharan Africa Trade and Competitiveness Program. Estem managed monitoring and evaluation functions (2008 to 2012) of the International Finance Corporation's South Asia Investment Climate Program, and managed an IFC advisory service project (2005 to 2007) in Bangladesh. He undertook an evaluation to measure change in the mindset of public officials trained by the Bangladesh Investment Climate Program from 2007 to 2010. Prior to joining IFC, he worked with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), a think tank and private companies in Bangladesh. Estem holds post-graduation degrees in Statistics from Jahangirnagar University and in Health Economics from Dhaka University, Bangladesh.
