Sylvie Debomy is a Practice Manager within the World Bank Global Practice for Urban, Disaster Risk Management, Resilience & Land. She has more than 30 years of urban development experience in Africa and in Latin America and the Caribbean. She joined the World Bank in 1998 through the Water and Sanitation Program in Abidjan and then with the Africa Urban and Water Department before joining the LAC region. She is now responsible for the Urban Reconstruction Portfolio in Haiti and of several urban infrastructure and urban environment projects in Brazil.
