Tahir Akbar is a Senior Disaster Risk Management and Resilience Specialist at the World Bank. His current work focuses of fragility, conflict and disaster risk management issues in the Middle East and North Africa Region, supporting the client countries to prepare for and manage crisis situations. He is the task team leader for the Yemen Integrated Urban Services Emergency Project. Prior to the World Bank, he has worked with the Islamic Development Bank.
