Tahir Bockarie

Digital Specialist, World Bank

Tahir is a Digital Specialist with the World Bank’s Digital Global Practice, where he supports the Sierra Leone Digital Transformation Project and broader digital economy initiatives, including digital skills, e-government services, cybersecurity, and interoperability frameworks. He also contributes to digital ID and agriculture programs, linking technology to service delivery and inclusive growth.

Previously, Tahir worked with the Accelerated Access Collaborative under NHS England’s AI Lab, where he project managed several initiatives including their evaluation under the £160 million AI in Health and Care Award. He also served as an ODI Fellow and advised on digital health programs in Sierra Leone.

Tahir holds a PhD in Health Science from the University of Warwick, an MSc in Environment and Development from University of Reading, and a BSc in International Relations with Geography from University of Plymouth.
