Takahiro Hasumi is Senior Health Specialist at the Health, Nutrition, and Population Global Practice at the World Bank. Since joining the World Bank in 2018, he has led/co-led a number of operations and analytical tasks in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, mainly in Iraq, Jordan, Yemen, and the West Bank and Gaza. He is a public health expert with over 10 years of experience in designing, implementing, and monitoring health systems strengthening and public health programs in Sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, and the MENA regions. His work primarily focuses on health service delivery in locations affected by fragility, conflict, and violence.
